Software Developer


The Control Systems Department in FMC is responsible for supplying control and monitoring systems to subsea installations for the production of oil and gas.

The core expertise represented by this department is managed by Control Core Technology, a multi-disciplinary, technically advanced group responsible for the development and maintenance of subsea products. We are in close contact with customers and provide expert assistance to supply projects.

 We aim to further reinforce our group by recruiting a software developer who will work with the development of the control systems for FMC’s control systems.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Specify, develop, test and qualify software

  • Maintain existing systems

  • Assist in the standardisation of products 

Qualifications and personal qualities

  • Low level SW programming

  • Assembly / C / C++

  • Communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, CAN/CANOpen and RS422/RS485

  • Micro controllers

  • English as working language

  • Practical experience in performing embedded SW development

  • Structured and tidy, able to be creative and see solutions

  • Independent, enterprising, the ability to target results and to work well as part of a team
