The Society was established in 1873 and has a network of over 50 branch offices and 50 branch agents, offering a comprehensive range of savings and investment products, together with an equally comprehensive range of mortgage related products.

 

Description of Role:

The successful candidate will report to the NAMA Team Leader, while working closely with the Commercial Lending Department, to assemble a detailed analysis of the Society’s commercial lending portfolio.

Albeit Nationwide holds a strong position in development finance, there will be exposure to the full suite of mortgage and property lending products, with clients encompassing many of the largest operators in this market.  The candidate will work primarily with the relationship teams but will also liaise with various other Departments within the Society.

 

The role offers an excellent opportunity for increased exposure to a depth & breadth of experience across products types, customer groups & geographies, with complementary exposure to related departments/disciplines such as legal, accounting, valuation, while sitting with an experienced commercial lending team.

 

Key Tasks:

  • Assembling a warehouse of key descriptive data on the portfolio
  • Populating templates to defined standards
  • Liaising with internal and external sources to source information
  • Consistency checking across templates / sources
  • Developing a sound working relationship with the Commercial Lending Team
  • Highlighting information deficiencies
  • Adhoc projects

 

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • High level of attention to detail required
  • Third Level Business / Finance / Accounting / Legal Qualification (professional qualifications in Legal and Accounting will be favourably viewed)
  • An amount of work experience in the above disciplines (e.g. 1-2 yrs)
  • High level of interpersonal & communication skills necessary in view of level of contact with different business units.
  • Ability to work within team environment.
  • Good Presentation Skills.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to demonstrate initiative.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
